I started wearing the Black version, and subsequently, the brown version of this shoe back in the 1990's. They last well, are a very good fit, (10.5 and W) and are very comfortable. I have had pairs made in several different countries and found them all to be practicably identical. I have just purchased 2 pairs in Black and 2 pairs in brown which at my age (72) I would expect they should last me for life! That's a good thing since they seem to be getting harder to find in the shops!!

Third pair. Original two purchases had been made in China. This new pair is made in India and shoes are much thighter and takes more time to break them. Still a good purchase for the price.

I bought my fourth or fifth pair of world walkers on line from The Bay. I was surprised at how rigid the leather felt and how the shoe seemed narrow. Studying the matter, I saw from the labels that the shoes had been made in India. My previous pairs of such shoes were not from India. I still have the shoes but I do not use the shoes from India for long walks. I think the message is : "Try before you buy."
