So big fitting

I always wear Rockport shoes in 8.5 wide , so I was pretty confident ordering these ,that did not work out for me. The fit is really off , not sure if the pair I got was sized wrong but I’m going to say they fit like a 9.5 E width. About 1 1/2 inches too long and 1/2 inch too wide. Thankful that Rockport is good to deal with for returns but am hesitant to reorder because of the sizing issue. They would be so great with jeans and shorts , love the slip on style !
